WHAT IS Q-SWITCHED ND:YAG?

Q-Switched ND: YAG is a laser used in medical and cosmetic procedures that generates very short (nanosecond, 10 ns) and high peak power, high-intensity pulses to selectively target pigmented lesions and tattoo ink without harming surrounding tissue. The usual wavelengths are 532 nm and 1064 nm.

HOW IT WORKS?

Lasers work by using a flash lamp or diode to power a crystal that emits a specific, focused wavelength. The laser beam heats and breaks down targeted tissue, releasing pigments and naturally eliminating substances from the body.

What is IPL?

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a technology used in various skin treatments, including hair removal, photorejuvenation, and treating vascular and dermatologic diseases. IPL emits a broad spectrum of light that targets specific structures and chromophores in the skin, mainly melanin in hair or hemoglobin in blood vessels, causing thermal and/or mechanical damage to them without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Acne Removal Treatment

Endogenous porphyrins in Acne absorb the energy of pulsed light to produce photochemical reactions that release singlet oxygen to effectively kill propionibacterium in acne.

◉ Propionibacterium Acnes (PAC) produces endogenous porphyrins during its normal metabolism.

◉ The energy of specific bands is absorbed by porphyrin through the skin, and porphyrin is stimulated to release singlet oxygen ion

◉ Singlet oxygen ion can effectively kill propionibacterium acnes

Superficial Blood Vessel Removal Treatment

The hemoglobin absorbs the energy of pulsed light selectively will lead to blood warming, thrombosis and close dilated blood vessels. The blood can not pass through the diseased blood vessels, so that it lacks nutrition and becomes atrophy, thus,eventually metabolized by the human body, so as to achieve the purpose of treating telangiectasia. But the normal blood vessels have less hemoglobin to absorb less energy so they are not affected.

Freckle Removal Treatment

It adopts the“Selectively Thermal Absorption of Laser” principle. When the specific wavelength of light acting on the skin will be absorbed selectively by the melanin of diseased tissue (the content of melanin in diseased tissue is much more than that of normal tissue.). Some of melanin in the deep layer will be cracked for fine particles, and the particles will be swallowed by the phagocyte and expelled from body with lymphatic system. Some of melanin in the superficial tissue will be popped out of epidermis,and then, the color of epidermis pigment will be deeper. The melanin will drop with the skin cuticle metabolism. Thus, the freckle will be faded away. However, the normal skin absorbs less energy, and there is the strong epidermis cooling technology to protect it.Therefore, the normal skin won’ t be hurt, at the same time, the skin complexion will be improved.

Wrinkles Removal and Skin Rejuvenation Treatment

With ultra narrow spectrum, it produces thermal effect and photochemical effect.Thermal effect makes some aging and naive collagen in dermis caused thermal coagulation, thus the activity of the fibroblasts promote a large number of new hypodermic collagen regenerated. Photochemical effect makes deep collagenous fiber and elastic fiber rearranged and restored skin elasticity, besides, strength-ens the function of vascular tissue, enhances skin metabolism to make skin moist delicate and elastic.

Hair Removal Treatment

After the melanin in the hair stem absorbs the light energy selectively, the light energy will be converted into thermal energy, which is transmitted to the isthmus and follicle (dermal papilla, hair growth point) of hair follicle through the hair stem to damage the blood vessels in the dermal papilla and cause them heat and atrophy. So as to achieve the effect of hair removal.
